Wellesley Woodlands Butterfly Count

Join us as Wellesley Woodlands for the big butterfly count as part of a nationwide citizen science initiative to record butterflies!

Price: £0.00 (Adults £0.00 / Children £0.00 )

This event is for all ages - anyone who is interested in looking out for wildlife in the beautiful setting of Wellesley Woodlands. We will be looking out for butterflies such as the striking colours of the common blue and brimstone, the well disguised meadow brown and the regal looking purple emperor! No previous knowledge of butterflies is required as we will provide butterfly guides.

Please note: that the butterfly count event involves around 1km of walking, along footpaths.

Please come dressed for the weather. If heavy rain is forecast for the day, the event will be postponed as there will be no butterflies about. In which case we will be in touch to inform you of a new date.
