Marvellous Moths Thames Basin Heaths - Woking

Horsell FREE MOTH TRAPPING EVENT!
We’re hoping to attract a wide variety of moths to our light traps and you’re invited to the evening session as surveying gets underway. Many moths are as beautiful as butterflies, and many are rarely seen. With the help of two local experts, we’ll be monitoring two light traps setup in the wetlands area at Heather Farm. The traps give us a chance to identify the moths and release them unharmed. Come and learn about a variety of moths and see what’s being lured to the light.
This is an outdoor event and weather dependant. If the weather forecast is unsuitable, we’ll email all attendees and attempt to rearrange. We’ll be on site until sometime after midnight, but you are welcome to depart earlier
