Makaton is a unique language programme that uses symbols, signs and speech to enable people to communicate. It supports the development of essential communication skills such as attention and listening, comprehension, memory, recall and organisation of language and expression.

The course is to provide Makaton skills to those with unpaid caring responsibilities. It is not for staff working in settings where this is a requirement, we reserve the right to cancel a booking if we feel this is the case (should you require a course for your professional setting or role, please contact your local Makaton Tutor)
