Modern Theatre Dance

Modern Theatre Dance is a fun, structured class covering all dance forms such as contemporary, Latin, street jazz and musical theatre. It helps develop strength, flexibility using different dance skills and encourages students to be expressive, have self-confident and increase their self-esteem through their artistry as a dancer. The ISTD provides a carefully planned and well-tried fun syllabus for students who wish to take exams. All Modern, Tap, Acro and Street Jazz classes are a great addition to Ballet giving the dancer the opportunity to explore other genres in dance. Apart from being an essential skill for the professional dancer, tap dance is one of the most enjoyable and rhythmic forms of recreational dance. Recently, the ISTD introduced a completely new syllabus for Tap based on American Rhythm Tap. The choreography and music is very current using tap steps researched in America. Our Adult Tap classes are great for keeping you fit and having fun; whether you’re a beginner or have tapped before it improves fitness, co-ordination and motor skills. Demeric Dance

Demeric school of Dance runs classes in the Cecchetti method of ISTD Classical Ballet, ISTD Modern, ISTD Tap, Acro and Street Dance.

Classes are run 6 days a week from the Dance Studios in the Farnham Maltings, Farnham Methodist Church, Rowledge village hall and the spire church Hall and St Polycarp’s Catholic School.
