FREE BUTTERFLY WALK WITH THE RSPB! - Hazeley Heath
Join Hazeley Heath’s RSPB Warden for a gentle stroll to see what Heath Week butterflies are around. If the weather’s warm and there’s not too much wind, we should be able to see Silver-studded Blue butterflies, and that master of disguise, the Grayling. Two rather special heathland butterflies. Hear about the brilliant work the RSPB have been doing to increase numbers of these rare butterflies and other heathland species.
FIND US: The walk will explore the northern end of Hazeley Heath, near Hartley Wintney, Hampshire RG27. Exact meeting point confirmed on booking. Free parking available for participants.
FREE. Suitable for everyone able to walk 1-1.5 miles on heathland paths. BOOKING ESSENTIAL! No dogs please. The walk is fairly flat with some gentle inclines and declines. Long trousers and comfortable shoes (trainers or walking boots) recommended.
