Wildlife Watch Coppicing Session – Hands-On Woodland Conservation

Join us for a hands-on coppicing session where families can help cut back hazel, let light back into the woodland and support local wildlife. This practical conservation activity is a great opportunity for children to learn about woodland management, biodiversity and nature conservation while getting stuck in outdoors.

This session forms part of the Wildlife Watch programme and offers children the chance to gain real, hands-on conservation experience alongside adults.

👧🧒 Ages:
5–15 years

👨‍👩‍👧 Who can attend:
• Children must be accompanied by an adult
• Adults may not attend without a child

⚠️ Important booking information:
• Spaces are limited for families
• We kindly ask that each child is accompanied by one adult where possible
• Requests for additional adults must be approved before booking
• If an adult arrives without a child, they will unfortunately be turned away
• This helps keep the group safe, manageable and enjoyable for everyone
