educate, enable and inspire people from all walks of life to make positive changes to the way they live and work.
With our position in the heart of the South Downs National Park, The Sustainability Centre could not enjoy a more idyllic setting.
The Centre is spread across 55 acres of woodland and natural chalk downland. Indeed, the sheer beauty of our surroundings is an enduring reminder of the importance of our work and goals. We are owned by a charity, the Earthworks Trust, which was established in 1995.
The Sustainability Centre aims to educate, enable and inspire people from all walks of life to make positive changes to the way they live and work.
As part of this vision we aim to manage our land, our charity and our businesses as working examples of sustainability.
We practise and promote sustainability as a process of making decisions which balance economic, social and environmental factors for positive benefit.
We nurture people and ideas. And in an increasingly uncertain world, we aim to provide positive messages and practical solutions for dynamic, creative change.
In pursuing this goal, we welcome families and schools; professionals and special interest groups; walkers and cyclists on the South Downs Way; children and young people; and simply anyone with an interest in what we do.
If you are looking for an indoor/outdoor event surrounded by nature, then we have the ideal place for those who want a quiet, rural setting. At our venue you can enjoy background music or acoustic sounds, with good food. A special place to spend time with family, friends and colleagues, close to nature in a woodland setting.
Our Woodland Hall offers the perrfect venue for an informal blessing or celebration for small weddings of up to 100 people. Many people hire our entire campsite or eco-lodge for guests to stay and enjoying our quiet peaceful surroundings.
