St John’s Junior and Infants Church

Infants Church: Year R to Year 2

Junior Church: Year 3 to Year 7
 

Who leads our young ones at St John’s?

We have an excellent Team that is committed to providing space for our children to enjoy fun, friendship and formation – the three pillars of our children’s work.
 

Who is it for?

Junior Church is a Service for children that is structured on the 4 W’s of Cell:

1. Welcome: Free play with craft tables (older children are sometimes given responsibility over the little ones as appropriate)

2. Worship: A time of singing our worship to God – sometimes using children’s worship DVDs.  Children have flags & instruments

3. Word: The bible section (Sometimes little ones go to a story corner where a story can be read to them)

4. Witness:  Prayer time – multi-sensory prayers (bubbles are a firm favourite).

Our Infants Church gives opportunities to have fun in an environment focused on stories of Jesus.
