Paddling, Beach, Sand, Cafe, sailing and walking
A great beach for the children to build sandcastles in, the water is usually clear but you must check the water quality first. There is a little sailing club and a cafe which serves the normal "stuff with chips" and a coffee.
If you have a national trust pass, then you gain entry for free.
Why not do a spot of bird watching over the lake. This kit contains everything you need to take your family bird watching, including bird identifcation cards and binoculars.
There are also some lovely nature trails. Allowing your little ones to go bug hunting under logs and in the leaves.
There are so many trees around the pond, why not make a little educational trip. get your little ones a book or worksheet and help them identify the trees you find.
