Hook Eagle Morris Men are Hampshire's oldest men's Border Morris Dance Team. Established in 1991 we are celebrating our 30th birthday this year!. New members always welcome, no experience necessary. Events; private, public and corporate considered. Twin town visits a speciality!
Hook Eagle Morris were founded in 1991 by the then then Vicar of St John's Church in Hook. Intended to dance just once to raise funds for the Church, 30 years later we are a very well established Morris Team. We dance from April to early August and over the Christmas season. We perform at festivals, fetes, private and corporate events and of course local pubs. We also dance in France and Belgium and have even visited the USA. We are always looking for new members, no experience is necessary, knowing left from right useful and a good sense of humour essential - a fondness for beer also quite useful!
Hook Eagle Morris Men practice at Elizabeth Hall, Raven Rd. Hook, Friday from October to April 8-10pm. Anyone welcome at any evening. No charge for trying it out as many times as you like.
We also dance at the Parkside learning and disability centre in in Aldershot in March and October.
We also raise funds for The Base and Hook DofE Centre and local hospices.
