Crowthorne Chess Club is a friendly yet competitive local chess club welcoming players of all standards, from beginners to experienced league players. The club runs multiple teams competing in the Berkshire and Surrey Border leagues, while maintaining a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere.

Junior Chess Club

The club has a dedicated junior section, with coaching available, making it ideal for children and young people looking to learn or improve their chess skills. Juniors are also welcome to play in the main club sessions if they wish.

Club Nights & Times

Wednesdays – Morgan Centre (Matches & Junior Club)

• Junior Club: 6:15pm onwards

• Main Club & Matches: 7:30pm onwards

Thursdays – Pinewood Centre (Casual Chess)

• 8:00pm onwards

• 8:15pm start on the third Thursday of each month
