maths and English support to students from three years of age to A-levels
The centre is led by the Instructor, Disha Lonergan, who is aided by trained assistants who support the development of students by listening to them read or checking classwork and guiding them until they can work independently.
The unique Kumon maths and English Programmes pursue the potential of each child by developing confident, independent learners through individualised, advanced study.More info
Some of the students come to us because they find maths and/or English at school challenging, others are looking to be stretched, and for some English is their second language. Through daily study, both at the study centre and independently at home, Kumon goes further than traditional methods of tuition by ensuring students maintain a level of development every day.
In class, worksheet study is complemented by number board activities where appropriate. There is also a reading corner with a selection of books from various levels in the Kumon Recommended Reading List.
Kumon should not be considered a traditional tuition provider as, rather than ‘teaching’ students, we encourage them to become independent learners who feel confident in their own abilities and able to face unfamiliar work.
The Kumon Fleet Study Centre is situated at the Holy Trinity Church Hall in Church Crookham, which is a good location for the convenience of both children and parents. With a one off Registration Fee of £40, the a charge of £45 per subject.
