Our review

Our 1st impressions were that the staff were really friendly, from the outside it looks like there is just 1 big room full of fun retro arcades, however as you explore you discover multiple rooms out the back with different focuses. There is an area for young children with ride ons and younger games, there are basketball games, football games. There are giant packman and Mario games. I loved the space invaders which took me back to my childhood. My 12yr old the big hammer strength test game, and my 4yr old loved the Mario and mini carousel the best. My 7 and 10yr olds pretty much played every game available.

The Venue is Pay on entry, and then all games inside are free to play. Prices for an hour session are

• £33.24 for a family of 4

We went with our 4yr,7yr,10yr and 12yr old boys. They ask that parents stay with children under 12yrs (there is a coffee area for parents to wait).

They are looking to set up SEND session after the holidays are over. Their quiet times are of the games are quite loud, and there are lots of flashing lights.

This was a really fun session to do with the kids (and quiet therapeutic to play and beat our kids at the retro games we had more practise at) 🤣

The equipment is cleaned between sessions, and there is hand gel available so you can keep your hands sanitised as you move around.

I'm going to remember this place for birthday parties (they have party rooms) and also for rainy days.

If your looking to extend your session, Opposite there is the sticky sisters restaurant who are offering 20% discount to players coming from highscore so keep your receipt. There is also the cinema in the same building. So I think this would make a great weekend morning activity to combine with the early kids cinema shows.

If you park in the queensmead carpark it is just £1.30 for 2 hours or £5.50 for the whole day. There is also the Meads multi story carpark which is £1.50 for 2 hours..
