Rambles and Brambles is an outdoor activity group for children up to the age of 8. Older children are more then welcome to join, let me know in advance as I can plan some more appropriate activities for older ones. The majority is younger than 5 however.

We meet once a week on Thursday from 10.30-12.30 (or for as long as we want to stay) around Farnborough.

Some of the sites for meeting are:
- Fleet pond
- Hawley Meadows
- Hawley woods
- Queen Elizabeth park
- Shepher's meadows
- Rowhills nature reserve

Rambles and Brambles also hosts the event "fire and knives". It's (mostly) every last Wednesday of the month in a private woodlands in Crondall. Mainly aimed at home educated children this is an event for ALL ages! We make a fire, the kids can practice various fire making skills, we have knives for whittling projects and it's generally just a fun day in the woods. there is a big wood swing and lots of space for den building etc.

This group aims to provide time and space in the week for parents and children to step back from their busy lives, to reflect and interact with the world at nature’s pace – slow and steady. Whilst I always bring activity and craft ideas along each week, the group is very much child-led, and often goes in different directions! Whether your child is up for some quiet crafts or burning off some energy climbing and exploring, they’ll have a great time.

We will be doing various fun and learning activities and crafts with gathered materials and at the end of the session we will share some food and drinks together.

The cost will be  £3.50 per child and £2.00 per subsequent sibling/child. This will include materials and drinks/snacks. Drinks and cookies will be provided, please bring a picnic and further snacks.

About myself: I'm Hanneke, Dutch from origin, and mum of Aela-Jayne, born 02/12/12. I'm passionate about nature and outdoor play, we have a lovely lurcher called Milly and everyday we spend some time in the woods. It gives me energy and Aela-Jayne loves getting muddy, messy and she loves to explore and climb. We're passionate about homeschooling and love to share our passion and knowledge with others who might already be homeschooling or thinking about it. You are also more than welcome if you have a school going child!

I am not a forest school teacher but have spend time outside from a very young age and I've been a member of various nature explore groups and I've learned a lot about wild food foraging and bird and plant life. I can't wait to share some of it!
