IT'S THEATRE OF SCIENCE'S TRIPLE LESSON OCEAN WEEK SPECIAL! In lesson one we'll map the oceans, and use jam and a torch to explore the ocean's zones and the creatures that live there! To join in live you'll need:
A jar of jam/marmalade/mango chutney. Honey works OK. Can be unopened or nearly eaten!
A teaspoon to smooth down the jam.
A torch (eg on mobile phone)
A4 paper
Felt pens/crayons.
This lesson is on Tuesday at 1.30pm. The other lessons' days and strange times are below!
Wednesday 15th July AT 2PM! Coral Reefs!
Full details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1140836416289607/
You need:
Eggshells (from at least 2 eggs, the more the better)
Cup of vinegar (Any kind)
Narrow necked glass bottle (eg wine/ milk)
Balloon
Bit of lichen (optional). (This is the green/yellow stuff that grows on trees and is often found on branches on the ground. Not to be confused with moss which is sort of fluffy. Lichen looks like really tiny greeny yellow mushrooms. We're only looking at it but it will help the kids relate to corals).
Thursday 16th July 12.00PM! Food chains!
Full details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/931015860642672/
You need:
Washing up bowl
Squashable plastic bottle with lid (Fairy liquid bottles don't work for some reason. Vinegar bottle/disposable water bottle is good, or those square milk bottles are passable).
Biro pen lid
Blu tack
