Hi Science fans! I'm going to tell you the story of Edison vs Tesla this week and we're going to light a bulb using a plastic bag! (Adult required; kids watching alone will still have fun playing with static electricity and listening!). To join in you'll need:
Energy saving light bulb. ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED not because of electricity but because they're made of thin glass and you're handling it under a duvet!
A plastic bag - the cheap tearable kind.
A very dark room, or a double duvet you can hide under to create darkness! If you've got time on your hands build a light-proof den in the morning. And send me a picture.
Any battery (optional, will be good for them to look at).
As usual, this is happening in the video's section of Theatre of Science, ignore any spam links, just go there and I'll pop up.
See you on Tuesday! Look out for a breakfast lesson 8.30am Wednesday!
