I've been reflecting on some the amazing community sports and fitness groups we have open to us all in our village.
Seeing the @Hartoutfit team training on the oak commons, including the 6am Friday boxing, class is inspirational.
This week I've personally attended the Wednesday and Friday circuit classes @stjohnhw https://stjohnshw.org.uk/sport/ The two Matt's do an outstanding job and deliver a tough but thoroughly enjoyable class.
Seeing first hand the number of people attending these groups got me thinking that there could be a new firefighter for Hartley Wintney Fire Station within these groups or any of the other groups running in the village.
Being part of a team is an amazing feeling, it is no different at our Fire Station. We have 3 incredible female firefighters along with 15 equally incredible male firefighters in our team.
We are still searching for a new recruit (or 2) that could give on-call weekday cover. Could this be you? Being an on-call firefighter is extremely rewarding, not only would you be supporting your community by you would also be joining a great team. One day I would dearly love to see our fire engine being able to respond to incidents with an all female firefighter crew. For this happen we need a 4th female to join our team. I truly believe we have new recruits (Make or female) in our community, we just haven't found each other yet!!
