At 20months our youngest son loves putting things "into" things.  I decided to get a large pan and tie it to the stair gate to turn it into a basket ball hoop.  He had great fun trying to throw a ball in.  He has seen his brothers play in the garden with their basketball hoop so He has the action just about right.
